A Heart Full of Thanks!

Posted by

I love the season of Advent. The excitement in the air. My heart is bursting with gratitude for all that has been given to me. There is so much to be thankful for and so much to anticipate, and we are smack dab in the middle of it all. I am grateful for all of the basic things like a job, my husband and kids, enough food, a warm bed, the list goes on and on. I am also thankful for things others might think of as silly. For example, I learned how to connect my store to pintrest and ebay in these last few weeks and finally got around to cleaning up and out the basement. I am grateful my children were home for a week over Thanksgiving break and I am grateful they are now back into the routine of school. I am grateful to be back at school with the children I teach. T

As we prepare, with great anticipation, for the coming of our Lord, on of my favorite traditions is the lighting of the Advent wreath. Each week and each candle lit brings us that much closer to the celebration of Christmas. And just when you think you cannot wait any longer, here comes comes the third week of Advent and the pink candle is lit, to remind us "we are almost there" and we are filled with joy.

I wish you a restful, thoughtful Advent as you prepare for the Birth of our Lord....and if you forgot to get the Advent candles for your Advent wreath it is not too late, visit www.goodshepherdresources.com and order yours today.
